Samantha Achewood, also known as Jane Smith, is dead. A reliable source [Death, himself] believes her death is permanent. I don't know what happened, but on the last night she was alive, I saw something.
I saw Jane Smith losing her mind in the street. I saw many people stop to speak with her. One was Police Chief Grady; he was the last to talk to her. I saw them vanish together. And the next day, I saw Jane Smith dead in the park.
That's all I know. Take note.

[Slugger heard only what was spoken loudly enough to be overheard from a distance. But what he did manage to hear is interesting enough to share, especially what Jane had shouted.]
She said he 'betrayed all of them'.

[And if Grady hadn't already done it, Slugger most certainly would have.]
Did she say anything to you?

She's in a safer place now, probably.

So two people have died here now.

'Jane Smith' and Smirnov. We don't know where they died exactly.

[After all, no one had seen them die.]

I saw her then as well. It seems that she was suffering the same effects many of us were.

[Raz doesn't know what to think about this. He promised he was going to get everybody out of Mayfield, but now he can't help Jane Smith.]

...She was losing her mind.
