seven | never wanted to grow up

[Call Placement. Addressing: Mayfield. Filters: none.]

Requesting advice...

About teeth.  [He may be sounding a bit worried.]

Specifically, how do I... reattach one?

[Oh, the horrors of dental maturation. Slugger doesn't understand and suspects this is some unnatural and cruel act of nature.

ALSO, if you are one Edward Nigma, there may be something (not a tooth) hidden beneath your pillow. That something would happen to be a sheep's liver stolen from the local butcher shop. Consider it a "welcoming gift" from your new "son". Note that he has been courteous enough to wait only two days before stuffing it under there instead of the intended seven because he just couldn't contain his excitement.]

Uhh...you can't. Not really anyways. Why? Did one of yours come out?

[identity profile] strike-you-out.livejournal.com 2010-11-25 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
Not even with glue? [Damnit, you mean he spent half the day finding this Superglue for nothing?]

[identity profile] weiss-tank.livejournal.com 2010-11-25 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
No I really wouldn't recommend that. What happened anyways?

[identity profile] strike-you-out.livejournal.com 2010-11-25 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
Nothing. It came unattached.

What does it mean?
[Help, Ken!]

[identity profile] weiss-tank.livejournal.com 2010-11-25 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
Well, you're pretty young. I think you just lost a baby tooth because your adult ones are growing in. [He's seen you around, he still thinks your just a normal young human boy all the time.]

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

[identity profile] strike-you-out.livejournal.com 2010-11-25 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
...Teeth fall out?

[Madness.]

[identity profile] weiss-tank.livejournal.com 2010-11-25 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
Well yeah. Baby teeth gotta come out when the adult tooth is ready, or else the bigger tooth won't have room to grow in.

[identity profile] strike-you-out.livejournal.com 2010-11-25 06:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[Then... this is a "normal human process"? ...Okay. Get out.]

Has it happened to you?

[identity profile] weiss-tank.livejournal.com 2010-11-25 07:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah, totally. It happens to everybody. I got my last adult tooth when I was about 14 or 15.

[identity profile] strike-you-out.livejournal.com 2010-11-26 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
And... you're saying they grow back.

[Not sure what to think. Other then eww, disgusting. But at least he won't be missing one forever.]

[identity profile] weiss-tank.livejournal.com 2010-11-26 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
They sure do. We've only got the two sets tho so you gotta take care of the adult ones that grow in.

[identity profile] strike-you-out.livejournal.com 2010-11-26 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
Is it better? Being "grown up"...?

[identity profile] weiss-tank.livejournal.com 2010-11-26 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
In some ways it is. Being grown up means you're allowed to do more things, but you also have more things that you have to deal with. It depends on what is important to you, but both growing up and being a child have their good points and their bad.

[identity profile] strike-you-out.livejournal.com 2010-11-26 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
What if you aren't meant to "grow up"?

[Putting it carefully...]

[identity profile] weiss-tank.livejournal.com 2010-11-26 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
Eh? What do you mean by that?

[identity profile] strike-you-out.livejournal.com 2010-11-26 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
If you're only meant to be what you are and never meant to change.

[identity profile] weiss-tank.livejournal.com 2010-11-26 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
That...Ok, that really isn't possible. Everything changes, even stone.

BUT

Mayfield is stupid. Remember it changes everyone into a normal human, so if you aren't...you're going to react like a human until you regain whatever it is that you really are.

[identity profile] strike-you-out.livejournal.com 2010-11-26 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
[Now you've got him started.]

Even when you gain it back, it isn't yours to keep. Not when Grady comes to find you.

[So bitter.]

[identity profile] weiss-tank.livejournal.com 2010-11-26 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I know it's tough kiddo, but we'll get out of here, and the town will pay for what it's done.
