Around
[On a fine Friday morning, Slugger stands at the top of his driveway overlooking the perfect yard and perfect street in this perfect 1950s "utopia", and knows that this reality was born of someone else's delusional madness. He yawns. Well, better find some way to kill the time. Not looking back at the house on Anderson Lane, he rolls down the driveway on golden rollerblades and into the street, carrying his warped baseball bat at his side. Some of the drones, recognizing him as their paperboy, smile and wave at him as he passes. He either ignores them or waves back in a ridiculous parody of cheer. He's pretty sure he's killed a few of them at least a dozen times.
Today, Slugger decides he may as well try and find a place in Mayfield he's never been to before and grace it with his deplorable presence. One may spot him skating aimlessly around downtown Mayfield for a short time until he seems to hit on a more specific destination...]
Jacques' Roller Rink
[The worn, wooden floors make for a relatively smooth skating surface. Slugger can be seen skating forwards, backwards, and sideways on the rink with surprising dexterity. He can also be seen swerving in front of drones and causing "accidents" in the rink. For his amusement, he's made a game of seeing how many people he can trip and knock over at a time. Clearly, he's a menace to society.]

You thought he was fucking with you then, huh Mart? In a blink he's gone. But you'll still hear his voice from directly behind.]
It depends~
no subject
He's right behind him now, isn't he?
It's times like these that Mart wished he still had his near invulnerability...]
What the fuck are you...?
no subject
Guess.

He's watched enough horror movies to know what'll happen if he turns around.]
Uh, well first off I'd probably have to say you're a demon.
'Cause demons are creepy motherfuckers.

Did gods fight demons in your world?
no subject
My dad, Leviathan is a god... which makes me a demi-god.
no subject
Why did they fight?
no subject
When the world was created, my dad was one of the three primordial creatures to come into existence with their element. The ocean and water for my dad. Demons wanted to kill my dad and the other two for divine power... but they all still stand. Doesn't mean those bastards won't try again.
And don't YOU even try with me...
no subject
I don't need your power.
[He steps out from behind Mart, rolling to the side on his skates.]
no subject
So, you are a demon?
[Mart's keeping those eyes locked on Slugger.]
no subject
Close.
What's it matter? Scared?
no subject
Nope.
Just cautious.
no subject
[A scrawling grin full of long white teeth splits his face.]
So is that all? Or do you want to race?
[pfff! He'd so win that.]
no subject
Please. Don't even try to outshine my smile.
And if it's a race you want, it's a race you're gonna lose!
no subject
Turning down a head start, then? Your loss.
