[ On this ridiculous holiday, a boy and his baseball bat can be found in one (or more) of the following scenarios:
a) in school wondering why he's being forced to cut out these stupid paper hearts. Do they honestly expect him to do this all day and then pass this stuff around? He's so ready to ditch school altogether. He may try to seek refuge at the high school or under a teacher's desk.
b) ditching school altogether. Being around other people "his age" (at least in appearance) has been getting on his nerves lately for reasons that remain inexplicable...
c) at home; also, leaving home. People seem to be acting weird everywhere he goes. Is it only his house or is it the whole town? He's on a mission to find out... possibly by "observing" other residents.
d)stalking "observing" other residents. The targets of said "observations" have started to trend toward the young and female variety (with some possible anomalies). ]

Hiding.

Why?

Out there... the stuff. [He swallows, dry-mouthed and suddenly very aware of Ai's proximity. For now he'll brush it off as having too little oxygen.]
It's annoying.

You don't like the crafts?
no subject
They mean nothing to me.
no subject
Why don't you leave?
no subject
It's everywhere. [Nowhere is safe. And he's afraid of being droned if he ditches, though he is seriously considering it anyway.] ...I might.

If she looks in his direction, he'll dip his head and act as though he's reading this fascinating business section...]

Like a child, she chases after them throwing a giggling fit. Now that's odd ]

Also, he did not just move to the bench closer to the duck pond for a better look. That was your imagination, he has been here the entire time. Really.]

[ Nena continues her adventure with the ducklings, trying to swipe. After a couple of failures, she decides to head for the kid with the newspaper ]
Help Nena catch a duck!

Why?

I've got myself a date for tonight. You, Susan, and Terezi won't be blessed with my presence at the dinner table for a change.

[Arms folded, he slumps a little lower against the desk while his knees rise a little higher against the opposite side to compensate--he's a bit crunched up under here.]
